About the Author
Lori Mash began her teaching journey as an educational assistant during the day while attending college at night and during the summers to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating and obtaining her teaching license, Lori spent the next 23 years as a kindergarten teacher, dedicated to the magical world of 5-year-olds. Her goal was always to create a fun and engaging classroom where children felt excited to learn.
One of the highlights of Lori’s teaching day was story time. She paid close attention to the kinds of books her students loved, discovering that while they enjoyed many genres, interactive books they could chime in with were always their favorites.
After retiring, inspiration struck during a car ride with her dog, who wouldn’t stop licking her. That moment sparked the idea for SLOBBERPUSS, and Lori went straight home to start writing. With her years of experience in early childhood education, she focused on creating a story that would captivate children and invite them to actively participate in the reading experience.
Today, Lori Mash continues to share her passion for storytelling, bringing joy and laughter to young readers everywhere.
